The reason we would trade him is because he is valued so screaming "trade him" while acting like he's a problem is a weird take.

And it would have made way more sense to pursue trading Herb/Trey/Jose if we still had our our own pick (and only if you trade them for really young players/picks). You get back assets and help out with the tanking. If we get a great offer for one of them, sure, consider it. But there's no point in rushing these trades in the 25/26 season. That's especially the case for Dumars, as the higher the 26 draft pick is, the worse he looks. Give those guys time with Fears/Queen, see how they fit, then start considering trades. in the offseason if they don't work. Borrego looks to have everything trending in the right direction, and it seems that he's committed to developing Fears/Queen even as the vets get healthy. I hope that we get as many Fears/Herb/Trey/Queen minutes together as possible this season.

Unless I missed something, he didn't actually ask them to help him with the helicopter in the end. They were just observing him without his knowledge, saw him on the verge of death, and are rescuing him against his will? That's going to be interesting to see play out.

We briefly talked about it a page or two back. They told him to wave at the sky if he needs anything. When the helicopter approaches, he kind of gives a little wave to it. The sun was also in his eyes (they used some lens flare in the preceding shot when the helicopter arrived), so he may have just been trying to block it out. It's a grey area as to what his intent was, but the hive does have an out to helping him without explicit permission.

Also, I think I saw it mentioned too...but I did wonder last night when watching the episode why she doesn't request that they leave a shorter voicemail message for her. But I still do laugh every time she sits through it.

It started off funny, got a bit old, then went back to being funny again. It's Sideshow Bob stepping on the rakes and grumbling.

And count me in with the Carol is (mostly) faking the desperation to have the hive back in her life. I'm sure she was getting lonely and a bit mental, but aside from wanting to save the plant, she has a vendetta against the hive for killing her lady friend.

We canceled because they couldn’t get orders right so no

The orders are a lot more accurate when you do express deliveries, which only cost like $5 more. Standard deliveries get selected by one person, placed in a holding area, then delivered by someone else. The holding area is where things supposedly get messed up/lost. Express deliveries are picked and delivered by the same person.

Didn't know that this existed. I'm very interested, but I have two major concerns:
1) it's just too loud
2) I'm not ready for it (but my kids are liable to love it)

I’ve got someone in mind. How can he contact you?

Look up a few posts, he says how.

My neighbor's son is just getting started in the field, and may be interested. I will pass the info along.

This is going to be one of those shows where the people with short attention spans can't make it through seasons until they are fully released and start drawing more attention and praise.

I posted something similar in the other thread. I really liked this past episode, but it would have been much easier to digest for most people if they were binging the show.

I have the patience and trust in Gilligan to keep watching, but my concern is that people start giving up and lower viewership leads to Apple telling Gilligan to cut it from 4 seasons to 3. It would lead to a "tighter" show, but not necessarily a better one.

Was pumped about this show by bailed halfway through E1. Couldn't get into it.

I can somewhat understand people getting frustrated with the series, but the first episode was an absolute banger. One of the best episodes of television I've ever seen. Unless you hate sci-fi/thrillers, I can't see how someone can stop halfway through that one.

I think they had to make it a boring episode so you could get a since of how she was getting lonely.

Yeah, it doesn't really work if you speed that process up. It would have been like when Daeny went nuts when they killed her slave girl friend.

I liked the episode, but I understand the frustration. I think the episode would have gotten a lot less hate if the whole season had been released together and people watched it as part of a binge.

or is this just throwing a drowning man a life preserver? Even if the drowning man told them not to?

They said that he could wave to the sky if he needed something. It kind of looked to me like he gave a little wave when the helicopter was above him. Though the sun was in his face and he may have just been trying to block it out.
I wonder if the hive has to put Manousos under to save his life. That may be a way around asking his permission to extract stem cells, since he wouldn't be feeling additional pain.

"The Gap". As other posters said, probably the Darien Gap.

Someone posted like 5 days ago that he was worried that there would be a full episode dedicated to Manny getting through the Darien Gap.

Crazy that so many here were talking about the gap issue with his trip, and Gilligan kind of predicted it.
Me right now (except with a whopping $5k worth of silver coins at the end instead of dollar bills)

I thought that it was a step back in the right direction. Loved Favourite and Killing of a Sacred Deer, and really liked The Lobster. Didn't care for Poor Things (though I loved the visuals/art styles) and hated Kinds of Kindness. As always (with the exception to Favourite), it's not for casual watchers, but for the most part, it's a lot less "weird" than his previous two.
Someone else had the sub problem. But the woman was Manny's mom, asking if he needed help. He said "You're not my mom. My mom was a bitch."
quote:

Him telling the middle-aged maid to jump into the orgy was a step further into depravity. That's someone's mom's body. Maybe those are all former prostitutes he's sleeping with.

It's fricked up to us because he has many much more attractive options available. Morally, I don't really see the difference.

There's a VERY dark direction that the show could go on this topic, but I don't think that they will (and hope that they don't). Gilligan probably intended for these kind of moral questions to occur to viewers, but they're not necessarily the focus of the show. But significant moral disagreements between the remaining normies could lead to some interesting situations. What does the hive do if the normies attempt to kill each other?
quote:

mexican radio man is much more cautious and he's not going to put up with her Leroy Jenkins routine for long.

I don't think that she's going to keep Leroying now that she knows that they won't be able to convert her without her permission. And her idea with drugging Pirate Lady was rushed, but pretty clever. But it looks like Manousos's mom is the only one left in his town, so if he returns and tries the same drugging process with her, it will probably take a lot longer for the hive to show up and put an end to things.
quote:

Didn’t he seem to understand her video or was it translated or subtitled?

The video was shown out of focus when he was watching, but it looked like the hive did subtitle it for him. It's also possible that he picked up on random words. He knows based on both the video and their phone call (when she called him a bitch) that she's still normal. And he may have just known the word "twelve" and put together context clues that there are still 12 normies left. But I'm leaning towards subtitled.
