For us that don't follow it too much, doesn't seem like there was much drama this year.

TL;DR But everything you want to know.

Cumbest is supposed to be the new Gronk. Joe loves TE position in his offense.
K Johnson is a Mountain sized OL
Guidry, Heath and Jason will form a major upgrade at WR
Kilby-Lane is the new Matt Wells
Lovett is the next Simmons but it has been stated he will play along side him this season
Murphy is a TD phenom
QB Mayden prob RS as will the most of the rest

In a nutshell...

Our biggest need was at wide receiver. We addressed that with three 4* players. One is a Juco transfer, Stephen Guidry. The other 2 are from HS. Devonta Jason (Whop) is from Keytaon Thompson's high school in NO. He is an early enrollee. Malik Heath is from Callaway.

We didn't hit the Juco's very hard this year. One pick-up from CoLin is a LB that started his career at FSU. There is a really high upside with this kid if he can keep his head on straight.

OL is always an issue. We signed one potentially very good one (DollaBill). Kwatrivous Johnson is about 6'8" tall and weighs 360. We grabbed 2 more at the very end hoping they can turn into something over time.

Marcus Murphy was probably the best all-around player in the state. 4* from West Point played RB and S. He will play early because he is a baller. He is already enrolled.

We got the next QB in line from TX. Jalen Mayden is from Sachse. His highlight videos are worth a watch.

The only drama towards the end was with Fabien Lovett. He is a DL guy from Olive Branch. He will be a very solid inside DL player for us. Mullen pushed hard to flip him to UF, but the new staff did a good job of holding him in the class.

More later...

I knew about the receivers coming in and that alone should be enough excitement. Isn't next year's Mississippi class suppose to be stellar?

Yes. Heath was the top rated MS kid this year. He wouldn't be top 10 in 2019.
