Georgia actually has a substantial fan base in the San Fernando Valley

OU’s defense is terrible. Absolutely horrendous. I love Baker and I think he finds a way to win, but Kirby Smart is probably loving watching film right now. Georgia will move the ball with relative ease. If they don’t get behind the gun and don’t turn it over they have a decent chance.

OU's ONE chance only is to stack the box with 8 or 9 and hope to limit Georgia's running. That will force Georgia to pass and the result will be either Fromm struggles or he lights them up. Either way, it gives Mayfield more time on the field and that is the only chance OU has of winning.

If Georgia runs the ball well, game blouses.

At first I thought this was a sly reference to the valley's most infamous industry but then I realized your user name may well be a reference to where you live

Dawgs will control the clock running. Okie will score some but so will Ga. Hope the Dawgs beat the Dawg shite out of Mayfield.

Very interesting take- even if they stack the box and Fromm goes nuts, it is still OU's best chance- create a shootout. Good call PP

Baker Mayfield is a dang good QB, surrounded by great offensive players and mostly plays against soft defenses and therefore usually has plenty of time in the pocket. Air raid option pass routes and a pretty good running game. Very fast tempo.

Oklahoma defense appears to be decent but not great. Could be worn down by a ball control sustained drive offense, due to OU's fast tempo offense.

Maybe the UGA offense can play keep away pretty well and also score a lot of points on OU.

Maybe UGA's very good defense can make things significantly harder for Mayfield than he's used to and stop enough of their drives to cut down their scoring substantially. Texas was able to do it.

Should be a good game.

The funny thing is this actually isn't the correct way to attack Georgia on defense...it would have been in 2016, but because Georgia has been using RPOs to help against it, it's not now.

If you stack the box, here's what's going to happen...

1. Georgia's RBs are going to eventually bust through anyway.
2. Georgia will eventually start running play action and RPOs with Fromm.

The correct way is something that few teams can actually execute...a defense with 4 on the line but able to get pressure through it, linebackers close but not all the way in the box and ready to play both the short pass and the run, bring a safety up to help on it, and play press man coverage in the secondary.

I do however see what you mean, an up and down game doesn't really favor Georgia.

If they put 9 in the box Fromm will throw for 600 yards and 7 touchdowns.

C'mon man.
