Not arguing but just generally curious, did we see enough from King in his limited time to feel that confident in him next year?

Nope, no guarantees at all. We did see some signs though. He showed he has serious wheels and the Read Option is going to be a serious weapon next year. Teams are also going to be very hesitant to bull rush him and will have to have a spy on most plays. That impacts everything scheme wise. King also showed some "JFF skills"in that Kent State game with his escape act and pass. He's also a coaches kid and clearly a student of the game.

Does that mean he will be the man? No clue. He could get hurt again. He could fold against a legit D. His turnover issues he flashed could be a real problem.

Then you are looking at Calzada improving (and not transferring) or Conner. For Calzada the key for him is pre snap reads and audibles. If he improved in that aspect he would be SO much better. Unfortunately he just doesn't have good field vision and he hesitates to go along with his limited mobility.

Conner will be the Freshman with the unlimited ceiling but no experience. No clue what happens there.

The only certainty is nothing is certain.
