Not to call anyone out, but is the view here that all of folks in Tiger Stadium, BDS, or The Swamp live in town?

Just to play devil's advocate, Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, and Gainesville are in much more populated areas than Oxford and the same attendance issues that have been affecting us have been affecting those three powerhouses as well. As to the population difference, consider this: East Baton Rouge Parish has 440,000 people; Tuscaloosa County has 203,000 people; Alachua County has 269,000 people; and Lafayette County has 55,000 people. As to the attendance, consider Florida put just 70,000 butts in the seats two weeks ago and, although LSU claims 92,000 attended the UL-Monroe game, anyone with a set of eyes who watched that game knows that claim is simply false.

All the empty areas in our stadium doe look bad on TV, though.

The problem is our stadium is too big and the cost of attending a game worth attending has priced out the average consumer. Our stadium needs to seat 50,000. The days of mega stadiums are dead, even in college football, which might be dying too.
