Arkansas landed a major commitment on Monday when four-star athlete Noreel White went public with his college decision.
The 5-11, 170-pounder from Ocean Springs (Miss.) St. Martin announced his pledge via Twitter, tagging Arkansas defensive assistants Marcus Woodson and Deron Wilson in the tweet. White confirmed his commitment to the Razorbacks with HawgSports.
He chose the Hogs over Ole Miss, Florida State, LSU, Mississippi State, Auburn and others. White is considered a defensive back by Arkansas, though he could be used offensively in some situations.
White's decision comes just days after he made an unofficial visit in Fayetteville.
"Being in the meeting room and understanding how they break down film and translate it to in-game," White said of his visit. "My position coach is my main recruiter and I love it."
According to 247Sports, White is a four-star prospect, the No. 41 athlete in the nation and the No. 7 player in the state of Mississippi.
The industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings list White as a four-star recruit, the No. 342 player nationally, No. 40 among all athletes nationally, and the No. 10 player in his home state for the Class of 2024.
White is the Hogs' third commitment for the Class of 2024, joining four-star defensive lineman Kavion Henderson of Leeds (Ala.) and three-star defensive lineman Dion Stutts of Memphis (Tenn.) University.
With White on board, the Razorbacks jump from 39th nationally to 23rd, where they now tie Minnesota with 60.42 total points. However, it's worth noting Minnesota owns five commitments to Arkansas' three.
The Razorbacks are hosting a pair of key visitors on Monday in four-star quarterback Air Noland of Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes and three-star defensive back Braylon Conley of Humble (Texas) Atascocita.
