Bottom line the top 10% of Texas kids that want in get in to A&M. tu lowered there’s to 6%.
My kids in HS now (10 to 25% at a top HS in Austin) and likely won’t get into A&M so will be forced to consider God help me LSU and Arky.
A&M is big because Texas is and shite tons of Texans want to go here

But it’s not competitive.
70% acceptance rate. So they’re must be students well below the “top 10%” being accepted (also not sure that’s an impressive metric at TX public high schools).
