Macon or Bazelak for UGA?

My buddies and I were discussing this, I was a proponent of letting Macon get the start regardless of Bazelak's health.
Someone then quickly objected: Drink starts Bazelak all year just to pull him during the toughest game of the year? Are we really going to make Macon play his first true game as a starter against a defense that during its worst games has only allowed 13 points (53 points all year)?
Seems like a pretty brutal ask in my opinion. Then again, this is probably a lose-lose situation.

Bazelak has to take the hits so he starts. Sucks for him.
Macon takes the second half.
Brady Cook gets reps towards the end of the game.

Cook may end up starting saturday, but Macon should* get most of the reps. Macon has the higher ceiling, and can be used as a recruiting piece

Bazelak has to take one for the team.

CB (if healthy)
BC to start if CB can't and play most of the game
Macon last 3 or 4 minutes

This.
No one really gives us a chance against GA, but I'd think that if we were to put any points on the board we'll have to pass to move the ball. My understanding is Macon is the least accurate of the three in the passing game (which says a lot considering some of Connor's bad INTs). Even with the outstanding Mr. Badie, I don't think we gain much on the ground against the Bulldog D even with a mobile QB.

The last time I feel like we were this shaky with our qb situation was when it was after Blaine Gabbert left and it was between Franklin, Tyler Gabbert, and Berkstresser. And then Tyler Gabbert left.
My point is, someone will probably transfer when they probably shouldn't.

Bazelak is the best and most experienced qb on the team. When he's hurt he becomes timid and imitates a statue in the pocket. They probably will play Cook who's been in the system 2 years and also masters the dink and dunk like Bazelak. Macon isn't ready in his first year for Drink's complicated offense.

Pretty accurate take

And the Gabbert family is still upset about it. That’s why you’ve never seen Blaine on the sideline on an off weekend or in any promotional stuff. You have to be verrrry careful about QB egos. Playing both Macon and Cook is the smart way to handle it. That’s why Drink played both of them in the SEMO game. It was only hand off duty against Vandy.
