Wake Forest's delayed run offense is very interesting.

Cant say I've seen anything like it. Helps that their QB seems to have some good decision making skills as well. Wonder if other teams will start to adopt.

Clawson has been an excellent coach since the 2008 disaster. Makes me think the Pumpkin was sabotaging things.

Looks a lot like Auburn under Malzahn with Nick Marshall t QB.

It looks like they’re just trying to slow down the DL without an actual threat of a QB run. The only time I saw the QB keep it was a busted pass play that turned into a scramble. Seemed to be effective enough to get the RB some extra space though. By the end of the video, the DL definitely wasn’t pushing down field much.

The OL blocking scheme is what’s most interesting about that to me. They’re essentially just getting a helmet on a helmet and hoping for a stalemate to allow the RB to find the hole with the most space.

Odd looking, but a great way to minimize a talent gap vs a better team and exploit one vs a worse team. Fascinating, IMO.
