The good thing about big-time sports (like major college and the NFL) is that if you’re not special and legitimately talented, you inevitably will be exposed regardless of your last name and who your dad is.

Having the last name Hanks might get you some acting roles, even if you’re mediocre. Having the last name Trump might get you some business opportunities, even if you’re mediocre. Having the last name Kardashian might get you 50 million IG followers, even if you’re mediocre.

But no last name will get you on the field in the NFL if you’re mediocre. Nobody’s born on third base.

I haven’t seen a snap of Arch Manning, but if he’s not the real deal he’ll flame out. Don’t worry.
