I'm not sure I have one, but that's not the premise of the question.
Media seems to act like these are the only two worth talking about. (Well, to be fair, it seems more like the oddsmakers, but I would posit that a lot of that is coming from the media hype and people betting on its effect on voting.)
Like a poster above said, the Coastal Carolina kid is putting up stupid numbers in a couple of categories. He's not in others, but if you have Troy Aikman running the wishbone, there is only so much you are going to see of his arm. Doesn't mean I think he is getting screwed, but I don't even hear him talked about.
The QB at Virginia has some impressive numbers (leads Corral by 50 yards/game), and he has Virginia at 5-2, with the only losses so far being to an undefeated Wake Forest and a schizophrenic UNC. He's almost all passing, though.
I could see a good case for Matt Corral. Young, not so much. I just think it's become too narrow a race for this stage of the season, and hype is becoming more enabling than performance.
