Why would Glenn leave a young HC to come be part of a HC that is finishing his career?

Glenn knows Saban and his defense very well and is excellent at scheming, teaching and coaching it. Assuming that Glenn has career advancement aspirations, DC/ILB coach at UA would be a nice promotion/raise and a smart career move. Most of Saban's coordinators at UA soon get HC job opportunities. But Golding is an exception.
