Future so bright

Hate the loss, but I am taking a step back to appreciate the level of talent we are seeing this year after so many years of pitiful play.
KJ Jefferson is scary good for this point in his career. You can tell he knows he belongs. He outplayed a Heisman contender on his own field despite having much less experience. I don’t think an AR QB has played this brilliantly, this early that I can remember since I became a fan in the late 90s. He put up 6 TDs today in the SEC in his 7th start, I think.
Rocket Sanders is a marvel. How the frick was this guy ever anything but a running back? His instincts are incredible, really. He has excellent speed, vision, acceleration, hands, shiftiness, and strength/you can’t bring him down with one tackler. He’s one of those guys that is always falling forward. I know the other backs are good, but Sanders is on another level from most backs I’ve seen this year. Yes, he made a super costly mistake with the fumble. But what elite running back hasn’t done that? Some of our greatest players of all time have histories with fumbles, so I think this is a safe omen. Finally, we’ll have a good reason to retire the #5 jersey. Like, seriously? No one saw this as a possibility that we’d eventually have another excellent player wear #5? Surely there are plans to retire DMac’s #5, right? Eventually? He’s our best player ever.
So contrary to my known, normal attitude, let’s be optimistic in this thread? Who else stands out to you for the future?

The only thing we can do from this point on is just hope.
The biggest job that Sam has to do is keep this team together because it doesn't take much for the wheels to fall off.

Shootout game that we had a chance to win.
And we went for it with big dicks.
We’re fine.

I can stand losing to other SEC teams but those obnoxious Ole Piss fans are unbearable. I just can't believe we lost to those assholes.
