Kirby has been there since 2016, not 1980. Anything that happened before him is irrelevant to what he does during his tenure. The players do not know nor do they care about what happened before they arrived.
You’re acting as though the fan base is the football team and that they’ve been the same football team since 1980. Weird.

Interesting take. So if a team wins a national title it doesn’t matter to the program and no history or tradition matters.
