The average A&M fan is there for the football when attending a football game. The average student is going to midnight yell because it is something fun to do at midnight before the game. The jokes told are decades old and normally get a sigh or a moan.
TV cameras focus on corp and band so this is often what people see on TV.
Not sure the average fan condones students carrying dildos around on campus at Texass. Not sure the average fan condones Orgeron putting out photos with a chick in bed. Not sure the average fan at Baylor condoned Mulkey telling Brittany Griner to lie about her sexuality. Not sure the average fan condones a lot of shite that does on around schools nowadays. Not sure what the frick that has to do with supporting mens football.

WTF....you jumped from an event that takes place in the stadium at aTm that the school has to condone and people are actually invited to where gays tell dumb jokes to everyone in attendance who have the option to not show up but go anyway...so yes they condone it.
If you can't see how this is different from Orgeron, Griner, and dildos at Texas....that takes real mental gymnastics right there.

These male cheerleaders on the other hand are literally the most idolized people on campus and do this on a weekly basis during football season (which is concerning if this is literally the biggest Friday night attraction near your campus)
If your student body and alumni are going to willfully choose to be weird and different, that's fine. But don't get so pussy hurt when outsiders (rightfully) pick on you for it.

I hate to be the one to beak this to you...
But the average student at other Universities have found other ways to have fun at midnight. I think the Co-eds at these other schools call it "Scream" or "Moan" practice when they are around Aggies.
