without knowing all the facts so perhaps this is not valid - is that I don’t think it is a classy thing to terminate a coach midseason. These guys are making good money but they’re often just getting starting so being out of a job for months until the next hiring season in December through February is screwing up their own finances and their families.
In fact, this al.com article indicates he will receive his $300k salary for this year and next, unless he catches in somewhere else.
So while it’s certainly not a “classy” thing to do, he’s not exactly going to be begging for spare change outside Hoover Stadium on Friday nights.

Fair enough but this stuff could hurt his future in the field. I bet it will not because he is an in-state guy who will land on his feet at Troy again or Jax State, UAB, USA, etc. Still. It is not the high class way to handle this (with all my caveats about not having the entire truth).

Dang, something like this is definitely out of the ordinary. The replacement was Boise’s OC, he comes with Harsin to be an analyst and ends up the WR coach in no time. Well, anything to help those QBs look better.
