TJ Finley on 3rd and 4th down against Georgia Southern in 4 total possessions:

quote:

3rd & 1 at AUB 49
(2:00 - 3rd) TJ Finley run for 2 yds to the GeoSt 49 for a 1ST down

3rd & 8 at GAST 23
(14:56 - 4th) TJ Finley pass incomplete

3rd & 11 at AUB 29
(11:30 - 4th) TJ Finley pass complete to Ze'Vian Capers for 6 yds to the Aub 35

3rd & 4 at AUB 44
(8:50 - 4th) TJ Finley pass complete to Ja'Varrius Johnson for 9 yds to the GeoSt 47 for a 1ST down

3rd & 5 at GAST 42
(7:32 - 4th) TJ Finley pass complete to Kobe Hudson for 9 yds to the GeoSt 33 for a 1ST down

3rd & 11 at AUB 19
(2:23 - 4th) TJ Finley pass complete to Kobe Hudson for 15 yds to the Aub 34 for a 1ST down

3rd & 9 at GAST 10
(0:53 - 4th) TJ Finley pass incomplete to Kobe Hudson

4th & 9 at GAST 10
(0:45 - 4th) TJ Finley pass complete to Shedrick Jackson for 10 yds for a TD, (TJ Finley pass to Kobe Hudson for Two-Point Conversion)

5 for 7 passing - 4 of which were converted for 1st downs (1 touchdown)
1 rushing attempt converted for a 1st down.

6 of 8 total opportunities were converted for 1st downs (75%).

Again, the notion that he was "just as bad as Bo Nix" is complete nonsense.

Edit: the 2-point conversion is also technically a one-down (ie: "4th down") play. If you include that, it jumps to 7 of 9 conversions (78%).

its almost like you are taking selective data to make your point and not the entire performance.

Finley did his job as a backup Qb. He didnt look great doing it, however he did show moxy and resolve and bowed up when his team needed him. Good for him.

Stop acting like he is the next coming because by Saturday he could be the next Jeremy Johnson and your arse will be begging to put Bo back in.
