I hate Bama with an abysmal forever burning passion; so it pains me to say this… but I agree with OP… Fans, and all the talking heads, are way over reacting to that game and the outcome.
Bama had the game put away before the second quarter even started. And it was a rout.
And even Nick Saban, the God of college football, showed us that once a team (college kids especially) runs away with such a huge lead so early; and realizes that the past week/weeks of practice and anticipation was all over hyped and that their opponent is clearly inferior; then it is hard to keep the same level of intensity and quality play for the entire 60 minutes. Becoming lackadaisical, and apathetic is only to be expected…
If you’ve watched CFB long enough; this has been proven time and time again. I can think of many examples. One of the first examples to come to my mind (and this isn’t hating on A&M it’s just the first one that popped up in my head) is when UCLA came back against TAMU…
This is one of the hardest challenges when it comes to coaching “amateurs” and learning to play a full game is a main part of a recruits maturation process while in college… Saban has repeatedly reminded us about this and this weekend proved what he has been harping about now for years….

One of the many reasons Saban is so successful and such a good coach is bc he is able to overcome that adversity and still get the dub. To me, and in my opinion, one of the signs of an excellent squad, is the ability to still get the W like Bama did Saturday…. To put this in example, imagine working and practicing your arse off for weeks for a game against your younger sibling. Knowing if you lose it’ll be completely embarrassing, and also knowing that your sibling has the full potential and capability to beat you. You can’t and won’t let it happen though. Then it comes time for said game and you immediately dominate and jump out to an enormous lead that you know is almost impossible for your sibling to come back from… so you ease up and coast for the remainder of the competition. Your sibling ends up making it close, but never once got the lead and also didn’t do enough to win either. Is your sibling better? I think it actually proves the opposite, honestly. Because at full intensity and effort, your opponent still wasn’t able to get a win, while you were semi coasting….

TL;DR: Imagine if Bama would have played with the intensity that UF played with, and did it for the entire 60 minutes. As shown and proven before even the second quarter; the score of that game would have been completely out of hand.

This is so true.
We were DOMINATING them. At one point in the game I was thinking that our backups were gonna play the whole second half.
We let up on our intensity, and they basically ran the read option on every play, and forced our defense to defend the run for 3 quarters, which they didn't do very well.
But when we needed a drive to close out the game, we drove down and scored a TD.

Florida beat their arse for 3 quarters. It was not a fluke. Hopefully they'll get another crack at them in December and we'll see if we can finish the job.
