I'm not sure why you're hating on Bama and Saban. Really you should be thankful for Alabama's success as it has caused AU to elevate their 'game' so to speak. Before Saban. AU was content to pull a 7-5 or 8-4 season; if that season included a victory over Bama. Things are pretty much the same but now that victory over Bama usually puts AU in a position to play for something more than a minor bowl gam

Saban chose Bama because they were the best available choice at that time. Bama was as dysfunctional as any program in the country at that time, but Mal Moore made some promises that Saban believed. Again, thank Drummond for keeping those promises or Saban would have gotten the hell out of town.

Like I said, AU has had three undefeated coaches since Dye, I do not think we owe Saban for any of those years.

This is patently false. I know for a fact, I don't claim to know many things but this one I do, Drummond had zero to do with Alabama getting and retaining Saban. In fact, Drummond was against it.
So you admit Alabama was a better job at the time than the ones I mentioned. But just using your logic, Saban is so great he could have turned any of those programs into perennial title contenders and even winners. I mean, after all, Alabama was a dead program in a shitty place that no one wanted. Right?
Tempe or even East Lansing would have been a much, much better venue that Tuscaloosa Alabama in 2007 right?
