I don't think they even tried a deep ball Sunday.

So he needs to complete 2 or 3 long bombs per game to be considered a decent NFL starter? Hahahahaha!

This is what Fansided said:

Mac Jones completed 74% of his passes against the Dolphins. This is despite Miami having one of the toughest secondaries in the AFC. This shouldn’t be a surprise. During his Alabama football career, Jones’s accuracy set himself apart. Still, it’s nice to see that translate to the NFL.

There were a few passes that could have been thrown better, but he was easily the most accurate rookie QB this week. He trusted his ability to make passes, and that led to long drives for the Patriots.

He didn’t let the pass rush affect him. He went through his reads and found the open receivers. His mistakes were fixable, and that is all you can ask for this early in a quarterback’s career.

No he needs to be capable of doing it. They scored one TD. It was obvious that Miami would let him have those short passes. They felt is was hard to sustain 10+ down drives. It worked and would have been more obvious if Miami wasn't so inept on Offense themselves.

Deep passes are passes of 20+ yards.

That fool cited 2 passes that were deep passes, then said he didn't think Mac Jones even tried one.
