The real battle was with Michigan. The family visited both and was more comfortable with Texas.
This was why Bama was always playing from behind. This isn’t a knock against their academics because they have some decent programs.
But saying that the family who allowed him to make the decision really values academics and because of how close they are Football was behind the school itself.
