All these stupid fricking Bammers blamed Fulmer for turning you in. Spurrier was the main one.

The way Brad told the story, the coach was "selling" the kid and didn't give the kid the money promised after he got paid.

SOS contacted UA and filed a formal complaint with NCAA. That was his part in that situation. Fulmer was heavily involved with the bidding and provided info (with help from a certain recruiting site writer {TC}). to the NCAA in exchange for immunity. Fulmer went above and beyond what a coach in the SEC should have done which is why there was much anger directed at him, the UT Program and the Recruiting Site Writer.
As for the Means family, yes they cooperated so AM could be given a mulligan for his stellar gpa and enroll at UMemphis. West was the new coach at the time and while at a Luncheon where he was the guest speaker, he (West) was asked about AM situation by a guest sitting at our table. All he said (paraphrasing) is that AM will get a fresh start at his school, and that they really needed a caliber player such as AM in their program.
