Well my son is about to turn 18 and was a newborn when that game happened. You guys talk about that game more than your last Natty.

Oh, and A&M could have rolled up something ugly on OU in the mid '90s when you were down but settled for 51-7 and 27-0 but we didn't feel the need to keep throwing deep when it was clear A&M had no DB's. You guys clearly still had your feelings hurt from losing at Kyle the year before and decided to run it up. Congrats but when kids are applying to college now when that game happened you really should start to let it go, Fran has been gone for a very long time. Last I checked we destroyed you last time we played anyway.

Right now you guys have your hands full holding off the mighty Green Wave, might want to focus on the present.

You act as if we were trying to run up the score. I remember that game well. Jason White didn't even play in the second half.

Here are the scoring drives in the second half:

- rush, incomplete pass, 10 yard pass, 29 yard rush for TD.
- rush, rush, 25 yard pass, rush, rush, rush for TD
- 9 consecutive rushes for a TD
- fumble return for a TD

The last two drives consisted of 17 consecutive rushes with one possession intentionally turning over on downs on your five.

I would guess the 25 yard pass was YAC. Either way, giving a second string QB who would be starting the next year THREE passes in an entire half is hardly running up the score.

We also instituted a running clock. What more do you want?

I wanted my team to play better but that wasn't happening. Stoops wanted to get revenge on A&M and he got it. Could he have scored more than 77? Sure, he could have named his score. FWIW the hurry up drive at the end of the 1st Half to make it 49-0 is when our team quit completely, might as well have not come out for the 2nd half. We sucked arse. If you think that 77-0 isn't running up the score then fine, I don't really care because it was A&M's job to stop you and we couldn't. Props.

So once again why are you so obsessed with that game long ago? What possible relevance does it have to anything now? It seems to be the main retort you guys come up with when talking about A&M and you talk about it more than any other game here. It's literally no more relevant than talking about the John Blake era as if that is OU's destiny.

A&M isn't going anywhere. We have more money than you, better facilities than you, a better coach than you, and better recruiting than you. That is unlikely to change anytime soon. Enjoy your swan song playing JV ball in the Big 12. You guys better figure out how to recruit some legit OL and DL though if you want to compete in the SEC and quit focusing on 7 on 7 style players putting up Arena football numbers. That isn't going to fly here if you intend on winning more than 8 games.
