Well my son is about to turn 18 and was a newborn when that game happened. You guys talk about that game more than your last Natty.
Oh, and A&M could have rolled up something ugly on OU in the mid '90s when you were down but settled for 51-7 and 27-0 but we didn't feel the need to keep throwing deep when it was clear A&M had no DB's. You guys clearly still had your feelings hurt from losing at Kyle the year before and decided to run it up. Congrats but when kids are applying to college now when that game happened you really should start to let it go, Fran has been gone for a very long time. Last I checked we destroyed you last time we played anyway.
Right now you guys have your hands full holding off the mighty Green Wave, might want to focus on the present.

Throwing deep and running it up? OU threw it 18 times in the first half and 3 times in the second half. Reserves started the second half and threw it on the second and third play on the 3rd quarter on 2nd and 8 and 3rd and 8. Then on 2nd and 10 in the second drive of the second half.
3 passes and 35 runs in the second half. OU had a 14 play (all runs) 4th quarter drive trying not to score again. I think OU ran it 32 straight times to end the game.
You either didn't watch the game, or you're just being aggy.

You act as if we were trying to run up the score. I remember that game well. Jason White didn't even play in the second half.
Here are the scoring drives in the second half:
- rush, incomplete pass, 10 yard pass, 29 yard rush for TD.
- rush, rush, 25 yard pass, rush, rush, rush for TD
- 9 consecutive rushes for a TD
- fumble return for a TD
The last two drives consisted of 17 consecutive rushes with one possession intentionally turning over on downs on your five.
I would guess the 25 yard pass was YAC. Either way, giving a second string QB who would be starting the next year THREE passes in an entire half is hardly running up the score.
We also instituted a running clock. What more do you want?
