The build up to that game was crazy.

It was something else. Very emotional for me, actually. I took an extra half-lap, so I knew my time as a student was coming to an end. That was the only time I ever camped out for tickets. Had a test on West Campus the night before ticket pull, then just posted up at Kyle Field omw back to the Quad. Slept on the ground under one of the ticket windows. Just had a feeling it was g2b special. Ended up with seats in the front row on the track, so there's footage on random YouTube vids of me dragging Aggiebelle onto the field as time ran out

CSB: Damani was a walk on for the team that year (his first semester was my last). That 2010 A&M team was the first to make "Power" their official team song--a couple of years before it became part of the team entrance. It was to the point when "Power" would come up on my playlist, his head would immediately snap around (same for his teammates if they were around). I made it a point before every game to ask him for his no-bullshite prediction of how we'd do.

He predicted every W and L accurately that season. Including Nebraska. Idk if I'd have camped out for tickets had he hadn't told me earlier that week that we were gonna win.

So after the game, I'm just running around on the field, dragging Aggiebelle by the hand WAY faster than she wanted to run in her Corps uniform, and somehow I bump into a brick wall. A brick wall wearing a helmet. Turns out it was Damani. We weren't looking for him, nor he us, just by some miracle we found the same spot in the postgame melee. Got to sing the War Hymn on Kyle with him on one side and my soon-to-be fiancée on the other. Was my favorite Aggie game I've EVER been to.

Until last weekend, when we took our kids to their first game.
