Did he forget about the mercy knee Georgia took at the end of the game when they were near the goal-line?

That mercy knee only happened because Clemson had to go for it on fourth down due to being down by a touchdown. Had it just been 3-3, who’s to say their play calling isn’t different on their final drive? If they had been stopped, Clemson would have punted and pinned Georgia deep. Kirby likely plays for OT at that point given his historical tendencies.

Wrong, and I corrected you about this on Sunday.

We had to run over their D to be able to mercy knee them. A lesser team punts the ball back.

Actually, they didn’t have to go for it, there was nearly 4 min left on the clock. UGA would have had that time to go down the field which it was doing running over their secondary.

Ask your kid to teach you football. There was 4:52 left on the clock when Georgia took over and Clemson had 3 time outs. Georgia would have been trying to move the ball, not running out the clock.
