I feel like yall were selling out games even with that big losing streak of 15-20 games.

I believe part of what has always kept us mediocre was that we showed out no matter what. Our university never really had to worry about football performance because the money would flow regardless.

After the taste of success under Spurrier, I think more Gamecock fans are starting to realize that our BOT and incompetent AD have been holding us back. Fully withdrawing all of my donations to my alma mater was something I didn't think I'd do, but between the Muschamp era, the regression of basketball and baseball, and the Caslen fiasco, I'm happy to not give them another penny or attend a university event until shite starts to turn around... if that ever happens.

Bingo. Georgia has no problem filling their stadium and their games are on TV as well. TV may have a small impact but the bottom line is the fanbase is fed up with the product being put on the field.

Another aspect that makes this time different is Clemson's rise to prominence. In 98 Clemson went 3-8, in 99 they went 6-6. In the time that our program has collapsed since 2014, Clemson has won 2 national championships and been to the playoff every damn year.

They don't have a geographical advantage and they don't have more money than Carolina. The difference is they have competent people running the athletic department.

So after 5 years of Muschamp and now seeing how terrible this team looks under Beamer, it's no wonder Williams Brice is the most empty I've ever seen it.
