Oklahoma has by far the most diverse terrain per mile in the US and is one of only 4 states with 10 ecoregions. From swamplands to high plains, from low forested mountains to mesas and sand dunes.
If it has 10 they are all shitty.
I've lived coast to coast and traveled a good bit. The #1 thing that matters most is the company I'm with and the people I come across. Which usually doesn't have much to do with location. So I've enjoyed my time visiting the areas.
However, if you are going to grade it on these types of things, then Oklahoma and Texas are for the most part bottom tier.
It's hot as balls, there is no shade, there aren't any trees to block the wind, so dust gets blown around a lot. The weather is some of the worst in the country and the terrain generally looks like the struggle of life.
I guess maybe eventually you guys will put up enough windmills that it'll slow the wind down one day.
Sure things make a dramatic change from east to west, but it doesn't even start out as well as the southeast and just gets worse the further west you go.
