Sources: Big 12 Expected to Add Four New Members By End of Next Week (SI)

Less than six weeks after Texas and Oklahoma announced their impending departure to the SEC, the league is poised to add four new members in a process that could culminate in one week’s time. These were definitely the best football members on the board. Do they consider going even bigger? I think it depends on the playoff format.
Regardless adding those four firmly cements the Big XII as closer to the Pac12 and ACC than to the American and Mountain West.
It’ll be interesting to see if the American poaches teams, or if we see the G5 leagues rethink scheduling in an alliance of their own. I know some programs like The Flagship University of Louisiana want more regional leagues.
