re: Bobby Bowden started head coaching in 1959. From 1959-2020 where does he rank all time.

1. Yes, there was a choice about Miami. UF dropped Miami in the 80s. FSU could have also.
2. Yes, his Bowden Humor came out in that SEC remark. He did NOT make the decision to join the ACC. That was pushed on him by the Faculty, the President, and AD Bob Goin.
He could have been in the SEC, fought Spurrier, up and down Bama and Auburn, UT and been just fine during the 90s. I had family in the FSU Athletic Department back then, so I know what I speak of.
3. You are either very young or stupid
4. Another point, LSU courted Bowden in 1979, they offered, he declined. Everyone knows about Bama the first and second time. 2 Premier SEC programs obviously thought enough of Coach Bowden to try and hire him. He would have wrecked the SEC at LSU or Bama either one.
