It looks to me like South Louisiana cities (Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, New Orleans) are the biggest loser in this new highway. The Port of Gulfport is going to explode with growth to the detriment of the Port of New Orleans.

And Shreveport and Monroe are equally as screwed because a lot of that traffic will be rerouted onto I-14 and off I-10/12 and I-20. Cassidy royally screwed Baton Rouge here because it ensures that the Miss River bridge over Baton rouge isn't going to be expanded anytime soon now.
