Why is USC no longer a National power? Sorry you can’t see the big picture/overall trends.

Because USC made poor hiring decisions with their ADs and coaches.

Because they tried to back out of an apparel deal with Nike so Nike punished them by steering recruits to other schools. In USC’s case it most certainly wasn’t about politics.
