Arkansas is just Kansas with a couple extra letters.
A rivalry takes some back and forth. OU would own Arkansas every time they play.
1978 orange bowl. 31-6 Arkansas over Oklahoma. #1 Texas had just got the crud beat out of them in the cotton bowl, Oklahoma heavy favorites to win and take national championship. Arkansas coach had suspended 3 players that scored 78% of our points that year.
Every time?
I watched the game by the way, yes I am old.
Btw, Fort Smith is the heaviest manufacturing center in Arkansas. Lot of “good ole boys” t shirt fans from Arkansas work there, reason you see the shirts.
I have lived both in Fort Smith and Fayetteville (Dallas too). Everyone is different, I prefer Fort Smith. If I was 20 living on daddy’s money (I never did) I might pick nw Arkansas.
