We were officially done with the BIG XII when the Nebraska game this year was moved to 11am kickoff, and the BIG XII refused to get involved, and FOX sports shrugged us off. Castiglione was pissed.

Who's shrugged off now?

I heard about that. One thing not often talked about was the ending of the OU Nebraska series. A game I looked forward to watching every year.

I’m a fan of A&M. A fan of interesting quality games. A fan of rivalry games. I don’t blame A&M as an institution trying to block Texass from getting into the SEC. it’s been a huge leveling of the playing field in recruiting in every way vs Texass. Undeniable.

Even with Texass coming to the SEC they will never ever again enjoy the huge financial advantage they once had. Those days are gone and ironically they were the main culprit in destroying advantages they had.

They done fricked it all up for themselves.

I think that is when the fans checked out, but yall were done in 2016 when the Big 12 didn't expand.

It was clear that up to that point the administration at OU really believed in the Big 12 and thought it could work. Most people think OU pushed for expansion to try and make the league more viable long-term.

I think once the league shopped around the writing was on the wall: there was no future for the Big 12, no magic bullet to make it a respectable conference again.

The problem for OU was twofold: 1. they had to make sure if they were going to leave OSU behind every other option was explored which did happen. and 2. In 2016 the buyout on the Big 12 GOR was something like $300 million
