#1 The SEC will inherit a college football blue blood, it doesn't get much better than this.
#2 7 National championships, 7 Heisman trophy winners, the 47 game winning streak, college football history, OU will blend in quite well amongst the SEC Big 6.
#3 OU is a softball and gymnastics power house, this will benefit the SEC. The women's softball national championship was awesome this year and the Women's College World Series resides in OKC.
#4 The SEC gains the DFW TV market. I currently live in DFW and there are OU fans everywhere, I've seen way more OU and UT fans than I have A&M fans around Dallas and Fort Worth, its wild.
#5 OU is the new QBU. Mayfield, Murray, Hurts, and soon to be Spencer Rattler. Who's next, Caleb Williams? Malachi Nelson?
#6 OU is borderline RBU. Adrian Peterson, Samaje Perine, DeMarco Murray, Joe Mixon, Damien Williams, who's next? Kennedy Brooks?
#7 OU fans travel well. Ask Bama and Tennessee fans, there was mutual respect and opposing fan bases are always welcomed in Norman and treated with respect.
#8 OU brings innovation to college football. Think early 2000s spread, 2008 no huddle spread with Bradford Gresham, and the Pistol no huddle with Heupel as offensive coordinator. So much innovation that Nick Saban adopted tricks from the OU kit bag.
#9 OU has an elite brand that is respected nation wide, just think about the matchups:
OU @ Bama, Georgia @ OU, OU @ Florida, LSU @ OU, Auburn @ OU. These will be marque matchups that will be awesome to watch.
Switching to the SEC excites me purely with the matchups. I will miss Stillwater and Manhattan, but the SEC matchups will bring excitement.
