Are they trying to say BAMA, LSU, Auburn, Georgia was told about it? I seriously doubt that.

Really no need to include A&M on front end of conversations since everyone knows where leadership stands.

Not on an official way for sure, but through back channels they could have gauged interest. The “excuse” could be they were assuming Aggie was a no so were just asking the others to see if this would fly.
