3 permanent opponents is a pod smart guy, but you can’t make the schedule work reasonably with THAT many moving parts.
I’m not sure even an advanced AI could come up with a schedule rotation that takes into account circular permanent opponents like that.

No pods are 4 divisions. 3 permanent means every team has its own permanent opponents.

You'ld pair up pods yearly & the "winner" of each duo would be the SEC contestant:
Y1 - A/B vrs. C/D
Y2 - A/C vrs. B/D
Y3 - A/D vrs. B/C

Y2 - A/C vrs. B/D
Y3 - A/D vrs. B/C

No, 3 permanent rivals is not a pod. A pod system is a method of rotating divisional alignment where the league has two divisions the composition of which changes every year as the pods rotate through their combinations. It is an unnecessary complication to satisfy an NCAA rule regarding the requirements for staging a conference championship game that is now obsolete.
We can have a conference championship game matching the teams with the two best records without having to break into divisions.
