Arkansas would benefit most from this move. They’d get even more Texas exposure. With the Big12 out of the way, Arkansas can swoop in on high end skill players that would have went to TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma State or Tech. They’d get a classic rivalry matchup back. A&M would be regulated down the pecking order, making the west more viable for the Hogs.

Arkansas really ain’t been the same in the SEC. They’ve had some good years but I really think the SWC pipeline into Texas was critical to their peak days. I agree that playing the Horns and Aggies every year is a win for Fayetteville.

I'll be honest. I'm too young to care too much about Arkansas/Texas rivalry. It happened too long ago.
I recall a handful of Arkansas/Texas games since Arkansas joined the SEC. Seems like there have been 5 or 6.
The un-tapped hatred would be for OU. A large portion of Arkansas' population lives along the Arkansas/Oklahoma border counties. Fort Smith metro and NWA both have tons of Sooner fans, because the rural eastern Oklahoma counties send their people over here for work, Walmarks, Home Depot, etc.
The only reason I'm opposed to it is I don't want to go completely blind from hatred. There's already enough hate. I don't think I could handle the big heaping spoonful of Sooner hate I'd be forced to deal with.

I hope this would be true.

It's always easy to tell who hasn't been paying attention on here.
