Edit: Changed it to two permanent opponents outside of Pod.
4 pods of 4. Two permanent opponents outside your pod. Other 4 games rotate.
This was tough. I tried to keep as many rivalries together as possible, keep the pods balanced, and avoid putting all the Big 12 teams in the same pod. There’s simply no perfect answer because no matter what you lose a ton of rivalries or make the pods unbalanced but this is what I got:
Eastern Pod
Georgia
Florida
South Carolina
Kentucky
Central Pod
Alabama
Auburn
LSU
Vanderbilt
Northern Pod
Oklahoma
Ole Miss
Tennessee
Arkansas
Western Pod
Texas
Texas A&M
Mississippi State
Missouri
Permanent opponents outside of pod
Georgia vs Auburn
Georgia vs Tennessee
Florida vs LSU
Florida vs Auburn
Alabama vs Tennessee
Alabama vs Mississippi State
Texas vs Oklahoma
Texas vs Arkansas
Ole Miss vs Mississippi St
Ole Miss vs LSU
Missouri vs Kentucky
Missouri vs Oklahoma
Texas A&M vs Arkansas
Texas A&M vs South Carolina
Vanderbilt vs Kentucky
Vanderbilt vs South Carolina
Yearly Rivalries lost by this system
Florida vs Tennessee
Texas A&M vs LSU
Vanderbilt vs Tennessee
LSU vs Arkansas
It’s really hard to find a way to make pods are fair while preserving rivalries

You won’t do away with LSU v Ole Miss. I don’t see that happening

Before anyone says anything about balance, you would have 3 rotating games that would essentially balance everything out.
