Did he get vaxed? Age and health?

No opinion here, just curious.

No vax, he's 26 or 27, autistic, high body fat percentage and likely very low vitamin D... it overtook him very quickly

26 or 27,

Damn.

Hope he does alright.

Although most stats I've seen out of the UK suggest this is significantly less deadly when combining treatment progress and vaccinations (obviously doesn't apply).

Delta is putting far more 20-40 years in the hospital, and they are VERY VERY sick by the time they get there. These persons are also almost always unvaccinated. This age difference in hospitalization is likely a combination of the age group being less vaccinated, and increase virulence by the Delta strain. Delta appears to be at least twice as virulent on the whole.

As for the small number that are vaccinated and still end in the hospital, no vaccine is 100%. It has been known all along that about 1 in 20 would not have enough immunity, but would still be in a better immunological state to resist the virus. Hence why Moderna and Pfizer vaccines were rated at around 95%.

I really wish they would track if these people have had the virus before or not. I know they won’t because that would probably be bad for the vaccination push but it’d be nice to have some honest numbers instead of playing the game.

My friend's brother and wife got the virus, got over it then got vaccinated. Now they have it again, though not to severe.

Who knows what the answer is now, you'd think these folks would be virus proof.
