I’m guessing now that part of why Leath was hired at Auburn was due to his intent to be involved in athletics. Guessing that appealed to the board at that time.

Something to pay attention to is Auburn’s president search with Gogue stepping down. I could see a new president wanting a different AD, especially if they’re more like Gogue than Leath
