Alabama Men’s Tennis Completes Day Two of Alabama Four-In-The-Fall

Alabama's performance in singles matches highlighted day two of the Alabama Four-In-The-Fall tournament on Saturday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. The Crimson Tide won eight matches during the day with seven wins coming in singles competition.

Patrick Kaukovalta and German Samofalov opened the day with a 6-1 doubles win against LSU's Vlad Lobak and Nick Watson.

Kaukovalta and Samofalov followed the performance by winning their respective singles matchup. Kaukovalta went 6-1, 6-4 to top Watson, while Samofalov found a 6-0, 6-1 win against Benjamin Ambrosio.

Juan Martin battled for a 7-5 win in the first set against LSU's Gabriel Diaz Freire, before posting a 6-1 second-set victory. Zach Foster defeated Will Cubitt with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 score while Enzo Aguiard went 6-2, 6-1 against Dakotah Bobo and Filip Planinsek went 7-5, 5-2 against Joao Graca, who retired from the match. In a back-and-forth three set battle that saw tiebreaks on set one and two, Joao Ferreira topped Vlad Lobak 7-6(4), 6-7(1), 1-0(5).

UA will conclude action at the Alabama Four-In-The-Fall tomorrow with matches beginning at 10 a.m.
