Alabama Track and Field Set for NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore.
The Crimson Tide sends 26 student-athletes to the NCAA Championships final site in Eugene, Ore., including 13 men and 13 women
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – A total of 26 members of the Alabama track and field teams are set to compete at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., after flying from Tuscaloosa to Oregon on Sunday. The Crimson Tide's contingent includes 13 men, 13 women with 13 men and women slated to compete in individual events and 13 more making up the Crimson Tide's relay contingent.
In addition to its individual events, Alabama qualified both the men's and women's 4x400-meter relays and the women's 4x100-meter relay. Tide athletes and relays who finished among the top 12 in their respective events at the NCAA East Preliminary earned a spot in Eugene.
The Tide will practice at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus, the site of this year's NCAA Championships, on Monday and Tuesday. Competition will alternate days between the men (Wednesday and Friday) and women (Thursday and Saturday).
