Yeah, I'm really curious to see how this plays out.

Somebody is going to waaayyyy overpay for player sponsorship, and the market is presumably going to correct as a result.

I wonder if any of these contracts have (or even can have) performance guarantees? As in, if they suck, they don't get all of the money?

Go back a few years, how any athletes would have had any real national appeal ? Mayfield, Lawrence and maybe Burrow in early November would be worthy of a national campaign. That is why I think NIL is just more booster supported welfare.
