I don’t know if I would say “passed”.. absolutely on equal footing. I know it was before I was born but you cannot ignore Tennessee’s history as far back as the General. That’s what tradition is.

Most schools have experienced mediocre periods. LSU’s lasted from Billy Cannon to Nick Saban. Although, I don’t believe it would have had the unthinkable not happened with Bo Rein.

Tennessee is being put through this hell because of the way they treated Phil…

Poor Phil… that man devoted his life, his ENTIRE LIFE, to the beacon on the hill… all he ever required was enough money to cover his Krispy Kream habit. He gave them back their dignity by beating Alabama regularly, conference and national championships, then he was summarily and embarrassingly dismissed. Why? Because it appeared he couldn’t compete with Nick in ‘cruitin or coachin’?? Don’t hand out the shite about him losing to an Alabama Mike, cause the same Mike kicked Ole’Erb’s arse that same season and you see what he achieved afterwards. Then, in your darkest hours, you turned back to Phil… he proved again his love for Tennessee and swallowed his pride to become the AD. He brought in Jeremy to do two things: take away the Alabama DC and make them start again, and instill some of the discipline Phil knew was so sorely lacking. But, wanting nothing but instant gratification, Tennessee fired them BOTH after what appears to be minor misunderstandings.

The curse of Fulmer is not because the way he was treated it is karma for how dirty he was while at Tennessee and got off scout free.
