You’re not seriously comparing UL & Tulane to the University of Texas are you? UT is a blue blood with the most money in the country. Massive fan base. Massive media influence. The others are G5 programs with no significance historically.
To put this in SEC terms, this is the equivalent to UF refusing to play FSU because they think it does not benefit them.

This is some thread. Why do the Texas posters have to come here and attempt to stir shite up? Seven win Steve is very, very scary and we should all be terrified of the cows … Beat ISU or TCU, and maybe we will find some room on the schedule. We already know OU is a mountain that the cows cannot climb.
Texas is irrelevant these days, and possibly may never be so again.
