Yes. More high schools have baseball than football. For some, it is a budget issue. Others have admins concerned with "safety." So there will be more baseball players than football.

Plus, high school baseball players can go directly to the pros - minor leagues, sure, but they can go. High school football players can't.

I agree with those statements. Maybe you could weigh in on how baseball at the high school level is more complex and political than football. And how it weeds out talent more.
