5 points has taken off over the last 10 years. Lot of really nice indoor/outdoor eating and drinking spots. When we visit, I actually now prefer 5 points to downtown as lunch/dinner goes. Off the top of my head, they have El Barrio, The Pine, Marker 7, Sakura, Fully Loaded Pizza, Royal Peasant, LRG Provisions, Cali N Tito’s, Grindhouse, and Dinner Party (formerly Donna Changs)

You are correct sir. I’ve lived a block from five points for 24 years. It gets better and better. It has an outdoor courtyard feel and on weekends there’s tons of students and families hanging out. Also LRG is now Butcher and Vine, and you forgot to mention the ExPat (classic french) Christophers, Barberitos, Cafe on Lumpkin, 706 (sports grille) ,Condor Chocolate, and my personal favorite Independent Bakery. Five points is off the chain right now.

I love Foley's charm and location, but I’m biased since I can walk there in five minutes. Interest in UGA baseball waxes and wanes with the team's success and the weather. I doubt building an off campus palace would change that.
