It’s fair to knock the latter point of his FSU tenure a bit but he didn’t have top end facilities or assistant coach salary pool to work with there, which can be a factor.

On the flip side Jimbo’s organization skills have been called into question before which I think can explain some of the mild underachievment his teams have shown at times.

It's a fair argument but my rebuttal would be that facilities are basically all about recruiting and Jimbo's recruiting wasn't hurting at all, he had one of the best rosters in college football nearly the entire time he was at FSU.

As for assistants, they still had the same DC in 2014 when they went to the CFP as they did in 2017 when they fell apart.

Obviously, Jimbo runs the offensive side of the ball and I understand that's a very broad overview but those "hindrances" didn't seem to hold Jimbo back during the early part of his tenure.

My opinion is that Jimbo hasn't progressed enough offensively to have a dynamic enough offense to be a title contender anymore (unless there's some type of perfect storm scenario) and he took advantage of a weak conference while at FSU.

2013 Auburn wasn't a great team by any stretch of the imagination and talent wise was totally outmatched yet only lost by 3.

Jimbo beat up the ACC again in 2014 but then got his arse totally kicked by a far less talented Oregon team in the first round of the first CFP.
