It's not about resources. It's about culture. The University of Texas in 2021 is not the University of Texas that existed even 10 years ago. The students and graduates don't care about football like past generations did. And I think athletic donations are going to steadily fall going forward as the older generation of doners dies off, and the younger ones care less and less about sports.

The same issue will impact pretty much every other program going forward, but UTexas is further along than most, and steaming towards that end faster than most.

You act like it’s impossible to change culture. Texas losing some of their boosters isn’t going to put them so far back that they can’t win again. You’re exaggerating how much support they’re losing. Just watch them have 1 legit season and it’ll all come right back.
